New Purchase

I recently bought a small crossbody bag from a store called Prima Donna. It’s so cute :D

Even the bag it came in is cute! And it was only $35.

This bag is really similar to an Olivia + Joy bag  for around $40 (originally around $50). I had wanted a while back but it stopped selling before I actually bought it. That bag looks like this:

I would have bought it off the designers website but I don’t trust it. And besides this bag is cheaper and I didn’t have to pay for shipping.

I’m trying to live by this quote in a way and I use it as a guideline throughout my day. Doesn’t that guy have such a cool last name? I mean really, Firebaugh?

Writing for the School Paper

Hello all,

So I’ve been published in my school paper three weeks in a  row so far with this week being my fourth. It’s almost weird how fast I got there. I tried to start sooner, but the editor-in-chief didn’t think my first one or two articles were up to par. I was told that they needed more depth.

After that, I got my first article published, but with a few changes from the entertainment editor. The feeling was amazing but I knew I had to continue on, work harder, and get better.

With my next article, I had to use the feedback that the ent. editor had given me and with that I got published again. By my third publication I was a staff writer.

As I had stated, I didn’t start out that well, but giving up was never an option. Being a journalism major, I needed to be published and get as many clips (articles in the paper) as I could; I continue to do so. I kept trying with this goal I had and it worked out for me. This in a way inspires me to focus on other things I  want to go. Photography for example is something I’ve always been interested in but I never actually went through with it. I get lazy about a lot of things. But as a journalist, being able to take pictures for an article helps me out a lot.

So never give up. it may just work out for you.

Shopping

I don’t think I ever realized how expensive shopping is until me wanting to start this new reinvention thing. I swear…. I’ve never been one to shop often at all and I’m so cheap I’m always looking to get something on sale. I’ve been getting rid of a lot of my old clothes so I suppose I’m shopping to make sure I actually still have something to wear.

I’m still shopping with my cheap nature, but it’s still a lot more money than I’m used to. I’m usually not one to pick up anything when I do go shopping. Now, there are a number of items in my bag when I leave the mall and even if they’re all discounted, the price tag is still different.

If anything, I don’t go shopping every single day or weekend so that helps and the price would be a lot more if I bought it at full retail value. If anything, I know that all of this will help out in the long run. Dressing better has always been something I’ve always wanted to do so I guess now I’m paying the price!

Oh and I might start posting pictures of items of clothing and other things I like here to show my transitioning.

Reinventing Myself

So as I said before, I’m redoing this blog. I didn’t use it much before because my life was bland and boring but I have come to a point in life were all these new things are happening and I’ll have a bunch of things to tell people about. One of those things is my reinvention.

I’ve never been one to really care about my appearance and I think that was tied into my lack of self-esteem. Now that I have more self-esteem I’m starting to care about my appearance a lot more. This is great. A lot of times I’d look at some girls and I’d think to myself:

“Wow she’s so pretty. I wish I was pretty like her.” when all along I could have been. Those girls were the types of girls who obviously took the time to get ready in the morning, to do their hair and makeup. I’ve never been that girl and it’s  time for a change. Now I won’t say that I’ll spend my time around NY checking my appearance in side view mirrors but a little effort in the morning never hurt anyone.

I’m going to start using this blog and I think that might start posting new clothes here and just other fashion choices I like. Lets just see where this blog goes.

Oh and by the way, I’m going to put more stuff on this blog soon. It won’t look so plain :)

ReLaunch

Hello all,

This is pretty much me relaunching my blog. I didn’t really use it much and hopefully, this and other things will inspire me to keep using it and updating. My life really isn’t all that interesting, but I’ll document what is interesting and hopefully some other things with this blog. Yay me! If only my life was interesting.

Oh and usually there will be a quote of the day. :D
