(first blog from my nook) I had a dream last night that I just have to share. Basically, I was in a city flashing people!

To begin with, I had never been in this city before. It was bright, almost overly sunny with a slight yellow tint to the air. No clouds but the blue of the sky was not visible. There were vans and small cars driving around and small-ish buildings only a few stories high. They seemed like they could be apartment buildings and this place was so clean.

Then I walked up. I had the dream from my own perspective so I couldn’t see what I was wearing but I had on a bright orange bath towel that I covered my chest with. Nothing else. I don’t exactly remember what I was wearing on the bottom half of my body but I knew I had some kond of pants on. I think they were blue. I don’t remember having on shoes either.

The first part of the dream I remember I was walking up a sidewalk in this new place. It was a little windy but I just opened my towel to everyone who walked by! I seemed so calm about it too like it wasn’t a big deal. When I passed a group of people (and I remember them only being guys) I would walk right up to them and flash them too. I even remember a small red truck driving up the road next to me. Three guys were inside. Their eyes bugged out and they were so excited when I flashed them (I guess stuff like this doesn’t happen everyday ’round these parts) that they even turned around to come back up the road to see again. And I flashed them… again!

Later on in the dream I went into a huge metal-looking building. It was a store that sold baked good like the ones that were sold in a store by my high school (some of you will know what I’m talking about). I don’t remember being hungry but I guess I craved some kind of familiarity. As I begin to go in the door, another girl in Jordans, skinny jeans, and a baseball cap (now that I think about it she looked like someone I know) was being chased by some friends and kicks this other girl with a feathered short hair cut in the face! I was guess I was shocked but I never stopped to see if the girl was ok.

There was an extremely long line for the bakery that I chose to wait on once I got inside and no one seemed to notice my lack of clothing there. At the end of it I didn’t even buy any food but afterwards I got inside a bus… I think. But I know I flashed more people. That is where my memory ends. Honestly though I’m glad I remember that much.

I have read around a little bit and according to the interwebs being naked in public in a dream is a symbol of freedom. But I wasn’t completely naked just topless so maybe I’m only partially free? Maybe I’m only half way there?

If anything the dream confused me. I want to know more about what this dream could be. I have had weird dreams before but I think this one tops them all. Has anyone else had a dream like this? What has been your craziest dream? I think I will start blogging more about dreams I have. This was fun

Oh and by the way like I said earlier this is my first blog post from my nook. I still have to get used to it so sorry for any excessive spelling/grammar errors.

I believe I said in my last post that me and my boyfriend were spending Valentine’s Day together this weekend because we didn’t get to see each other on the actual day. So on Friday I got all my stuff together and stayed with him until yesterday. I had a great time, but I’ll get into that later.

Like I said in the last post, my boyfriend got me a ring but I didn’t believe him. He got me a ring! lol and it’s so prettiful. I loves it.

So because he got me a ring and I got him a ring for his birthday last year (picture below) it’s kind of like we’re engaged lol.

I wanted to get him a gift but I didn’t think I had the money. I felt so bad about not having a gift for him I just had to check and see just how much money I did have. Turns out I did have enough money to get my boyfriend something but by this time it was already Friday right before my last class and I only had a few hours to do something I thought would be special.

So after my last class I thought about things I could do that he would love and I came up with this:

It’s basically a heart shaped jar full of Jolly Rancher candies. My boyfriend loves this candy and I thought he’d really like the idea. Right after school I took the bus to a little Korean store that sells the most adorable stuff. That’s where I got the jar. Then I just went to a Duane Reade to buy the candy but there were only the Jolly Rancher hard candies and jelly beans there. I had to take the bus to a store on my way home (because to me it would make no sense to go farther out of my way just for some candy) and bought the Jolly Rancher lolipops there. All together I think I bought 8 bags. I would looking for soft candies too but by this time it was already around 7 pm. Stores near me where closed so I couldn’t buy more candy if I wanted to and I needed to get home to get this gift together and get ready to leave.

I figured getting this gift thing together would be rather easy, I mean all it is is just some candy in a jar but I guess for me everything has to be a little difficult. I wanted to mix up all the candy together like an awesome candy salad of awesomeness!!!! But the jelly beans always found their way to the bottom of the jar. Then, once I got all the candy mixed properly, the jar wasn’t full. At least one more bag would have fit and I put one or two bags of the hard candy to the side thinking it wouldn’t fit. Now, the top of the jar would look all uneven but I was so frustrated at this point I didn’t even care. As long as it looked nice I’m sure he wouldn’t care either. When I gave him his gift he loved it! <3

We had a great time over the weekend. We killed zombies together and ate food together. It was great lol. There is a Friendly’s close to his house and he wanted to go since he had never been there before. They have great food and amazing ice cream for those of you who don’t know. The staff there was really nice both times we went (especially our waitress…. I wonder what her name is….) and we have dubbed that Friendly’s as “our spot”.

For anyone who wants to go, they have something there called Waffle Fries. They are fries that look like waffles (hence the name). They form a grid like pattern thingy and they are covered in cheese sauce and bacon bits. They taste so  good! EAT THEM!

THEY HAVE PURPLE ICE CREAM! The restaurant has this limited edition Purple Cow ice cream and when I saw it I knew I had to try it. It’s a mixed berry flavor with chocolate chunks in it. It was really goooooood and I was rather surprised. To me, once ice cream starts changing colors I get a little suspicious but it was much better than I expected.

We saw the movie Chronicle. It’s that movie where the three kids discover they have weird powers and can move things with their minds. The commercials really made it look better than it was but it was a good movie none the less. It had a typical plot but in a new kind of way.

The movie is shot from a first person view so that means that the main characters of the movie are holding the camera and that’s the actual movie. My boyfriend was saying how he’s sick of movies like this because the camera is always shaky but the filmmakers got past that by having the characters levitate the camera with their Jedi mind tricks for most of the movie and that kept the camera still. I won’t give away too much for those of you who want to see it.

Those were the main highlights in my weekend with my boyfriend but just being able to be around him and spend time with him made everything extra special. I used to think that because he was moving farther away from me that it would be harder for us to see each other and while that is true, we both are really making an effort to fit each other into our schedules and see each other as much as possible.

I’m basically doing this post in response to my friend Sharifa‘s blog post on the same subject. You should go read that.

I’ve pretty much always had the same view on Valentine’s day. I think it’s a sweet idea, the flowers, candy, cards, dinners, etc. all to show that special someone you love that you truly do love them. However, Valentine’s day is completely overrated and I don’t like it for multiple reasons.

1. Why only one day of the year? I understand Valentine’s day has a holiday and therefore, it’s once a year. I feel like EVERYDAY should be Valentine’s day. To some extent you should always show your loved ones that you care about and respect them on a daily basis. They should be doing the same for you. While you don’t have to go all out everyday and spend $150 on a dinner, the small things count too. Like texts that ask how your day has been or calls just to hear the other person’s voice, it all makes a difference. I feel like people use Valentine’s day as an excuse to keep a mediocre relationship going. I’ve heard multiple occasions from people who talk about Valentine’s day being the only time a year people feel like they are loved by their boyfriend/girlfriend.

2. What about the single people? I traditionally call Valentine’s day “Single’s Awareness Day” although I have been told I am no longer allowed to say that because I have an amazing boyfriend. Regardless, when I was single (and last Valentine’s Day was the first Valentine’s Day I’ve ever actually had a Valentine. So I know what it’s like.) I always felt left out. I mean, I would be able to hang out with my single friends, but it’s just not the same and with all that kind of love in the air, I still felt kinda lonely. I consider myself to be someone who has always had emotional problems connected with my self-esteem, but back when I was in ninth and tenth grade it was at it’s worst. I would always wonder around that time why I never had a boyfriend or why no one was ever interested in me in that kind of way. My guy friends would always say how pretty or nice I was, but it’s not like they were going out with me!

3. It’s just annoying. Emotional issues aside, it just annoyed me and still does. Mind you I love spending all of this mushy mushy love time with my love, but all the commercials and ads I see just shove love down my throat like a bad fruit cake made for you by a close family member and out of courtesy you have to eat it.

Now that Valentine’s Day has passed, I’ll tell you all what I did! To be honest, I didn’t do anything at all! lol I was sick (and still kind of am) so I stayed home from school and did nothing. I will be spending this weekend with my boyfriend so he will give me my gift then, even though I already know what it is.

We usually like to keep gifts a surprise until we can actually meet up and exchange everything. But last night before I went to bed I was so excited about it and when I called him I basically begged him to tell me what it is. So he tells me! And I’m so surprised by his move I don’t even believe him. However, he said it’s a ring and sent me a picture of the box to prove it to me.

I honestly still don’t believe him, but this is the most proof on the matter I will get until I actually receive it.

WE’RE ENGAGED! lol jk

I unfortunately can’t afford a gift for him right now and I hate asking my mom for money for anything. Mat says it’s fine and that I don’t even need to get him a gift, but that is just out of the question. I’ll get him a gift whether he likes it or not! And honestly even if I did have a gift you think I’d put it here? Bitches be crazy.

Happy New Year! If you have read my blog before you know that I have been trying to reinvent myself and my image. With that means buying new stuff! I bought a few new things as of late and I’d like to share them with all of you.

Oh and just so you know, I really didn’t feel like modeling anything. Just saying.

New boots! These are the boots I basically raided the internet for. I initially saw them on MakeMeChic.com and fell in love with the $18 price tag. Unfortunately, I they are only available in a 5 and a half. Lord knows that I could never dream of even attempting to squeeze my foot into that size.

But by the time I saw them I couldn’t not have them! Honestly I was surprised at myself as I am not usually one to like this kind of boot. I search all over the internet for this boot in grey (according to my searches they came in two other colors) and a size 8-10 depending on how they were constructed to fit.

I found the boots all over the place but most sites had them in a size two small or in a color I didn’t want. As you may have or will notice, I’m picky. Eventually, I came across a bunch of reviews for the boot on some website. I think it was QVC who had stopped selling the boots but yay for me, the reviews were still there. A bunch of women were saying how much they loved the boots but the the size they would normally get in another pair of shoes were too big on them in these boots. That right there was a glimmer of hope.

I went back to Amazon, which is where a lot of my searches led me to in the first place and found the boots in the color I wanted and a size 8. I figured What the hell? If they don’t fit then all I have to do is return them. Even though I would hate to have to do that in the first place. The only downside to this was that I had to pay $34.99 with $10 shipping. That’s honestly not bad at all but you all should know by know that I’m cheap.

So as you can now tell, I HAVE THEM!! And thank God they fit perfectly. One half a size smaller and I would have had to return them. And by the way, don’t these boots completely go with this bag??

Before this big thing though, my family and I were at the mall on Christmas eve and even though we went there for last minute gifts for other people, everyone was treating themselves. My mom got new jeans, my grandmother got a new shirt, my sister got…. something. I forgot what but it was most likely some type of clothing and my brother got a new racecar type thingy.

My mom always feels bad when some of us are left out so she basically forced me to find something I liked and buy it. I made my way to H&M and got these two tops.

The first top fits more like a snug mini dress. It says “DIFFERENT COLOURS ALL BEAUTIFUL SAY NO TO RACISM”. That was the reason I saw it. As soon as I read the shirt I knew it was mine. I also liked that there was a “U” in word “color” which made me happy because it reminded me of my mommy. She’s born in London, England.

After getting on the extremely long Christmas eve line I figured Am I really going to check out with only one item? So I tried to look at things around me that might interest me, but the store was a mess and all the things I saw weren’t in the right places. So I got off the line. It was moving pretty steadily and I figured I could get back on and not have to wait to long. So after trying to find a bunch of sold out tops, I came across this green one. First off, I’m not the biggest fan of green so there isn’t much at all in my closet. I don’t want it overrun with purples, teals, and other shades of blue, so I figured that the color in itself would be a good addition. It’s also a really fluttery top. It’s the kind of top that has those sleeves that are attached to the actual top so when you move your arms you look like a flying squirrel. Yeah, it’s one of those tops. It’s cute I promise! My description doesn’t do it justice.

Lastly, I was again at the mall and I’ve seen these for a few days and I left the mall without buying them. I had to go back after a few days.

I love these earrings! I usually hate the ones that are huge and pull down your ears and after a few years you have little slits for piercings. That’s a pet peeve of mine. I think it looks so disgusting and makes me want to smack people.

I bought them and wore them to see how they would look and of course they pulled down my ear lobe. And I don’t have piercings that are really high up on my ear lobe so my poor ears wouldn’t last too long before the earrings pulled all the way through.

There are a bunch of things that are supposed to help support earrings though. Those earring backs with the discs on them are supposed to help support big earrings and there’s this thing called Lobe Wonder that’s supposed to support the earring in un-torn lobes and fix the appearance of torn ones. I haven’t used it but I’ve seen great reviews about it. I might buy some to try and use with these with my new earrings.

And just so you all can see just how big these earrings are, here’s a very bad picture of me with them on. I used my phone and it was really late in the car and all that so sorry the quality sucks. I don’t have the longest neck ever and they reach my shoulders.

Well, that’s all the stuff I’ve bought within the last month or so. I hope you all like my lovely “sense of fashion”.

Let me start off by saying Happy Holidays! I hope everyone’s holiday season is going well and you all are able to be around those who love you! I might do a blog about my gifts but that’s another story.

I kept saying I wanted to post about this since I did a blog about my boyfriend’s gift to me. I basically made him a book of all the reasons I love him. I used a website called LoveBookOnline.com. It’s basically a website where you can make personalized books to your loved ones. You can make a book for any occasion. There’s even a page on the website that shows different occasions you can make a book for and samples of books when you click on that occasion.

I made a book for my anniversary (obviously) and the process really isn’t that hard. All you have to do is make an account (for free) and start!

1. You pick and customize the cover of your book. Pick between a hard cover book or a paperback.

2. Pick your pages. You can choose from a list of pre-made pages to start off with or choose a blank page to start from scratch. You should also pick your genders. For example, if you’re a girl like me and giving a gift to your boyfriend like I did, you’re going to want to pick “Female to Male”. If you’re a guy giving to a girl, a girl giving to a girl, or a guy giving to a guy, you pick your respective genders. This changes the cartoons on the pages to conform to those genders.

Each page can have text and pictures. Even though everything in the book can only be black and white, it’s so adorable. The text font looks causal and all the pictures are in stick-figure form.

3. Preview and Buy. You have to have a minimum of 20 pages but after that, you can preview your book and have anything you want there anywhere you want it. The paperback book is only $29.95 and the hardcover is only $44.95 before shipping and other stuff.

So lets get to my book! I bought a hardcover book that had 54 pages. It had the zombie apocalypse themed cover (there are tons of covers!) and it was just filled with all the reasons I love him. I’ll show a few of the pre-made pages I used and then some that I did completely from scratch. The only thing I added to these pre-made pages is hair. We aren’t bald so… yeah

Isn’t it cute! Sorry about the shadows at the side of the pages. I screenshot these from a preview of my book because I don’t have it now. My boyfriend does. It’s certainly worth the price and when it comes, it actually looks like a real book. The book has really good quality and it ships really fast. There really isn’t much of a reason not to get a Love Book and I will certainly be making more.

Me and the boyfriend here have wanted to play a little prank like that for a while. He’s actually sitting right next to me as I type this. It seemed like the perfect time to do it too. I just changed my last name to his on Facebook, my mom called him her son-in-law this morning, our one year anniversary just passed and it’s so close to Christmas.

This was a great way of seeing who really cares about me and Mathew and the welfare of our relationship. Thanks to all of you who spammed us wondering if we were ok. It means a lot. We loves you

I hope you all aren’t too mad with us but we just couldn’t help ourselves. We can’t pull a prank like this again because you all will have caught on but we won’t be breaking up anytime soon.

I’m posting again so soooon! It’s a miracle! So on December 3rd I went on what  I guess you can call the second half of my anniversary date with my boyfriend. We had wanted to go to dinner before but things didn’t work out. So on the 3rd we went to dinner and went out to the city, saw the big Christmas tree and all that. For those of you who I’m friends with on Facebook you can see those pictures there.

So I’m posting this because I really liked the outfit I had on that day. I have been recently obsessed with lace and dark wash jeans so I put the two together! I’m wearing dark wash jeans with a ribbed pink V-neck and a cropped lace jacket over it. Please don’t mind my socks I re-put this outfit on to post this blog. I was wearing my denim heels I wore to the first part of the date. I believe they are called Kendal Knot wedges from Payless.

Just to talk about the shoes for a second, I’ve wanted those shoes for a while but I’ve never been a fan of wearing heels until recently. I knew I needed to have them and these shoes have been in Payless FOR YEARS!! I remember I saw these in a store and wanted them before I even moved to Florida and that was about eight years ago. So if any if you want them GO BUY! Right now the website says that it’s the “last chance” to get them but it said that right before I bought them and that was in June. YAY SHOES!

Let me just say now that I don’t plan on this being a long post. I’m extremely tired and busy but I don’t like to do actual school work when I watch Dr. Phil

So as I said before, late last month was my one year anniversary with the boyfriend and he got me the most adorable bag evar!!! I also somewhat recently bought some new jeans since my butt decided to get huge and didn’t want to fit inside previous pairs.

So the other day, I was wear a pair of these somewhat new jeans while carrying my purse and when I get home there are huge blue stains all over my bag!!! Apparently in new jeans there’s is an excess of indigo dye used to color the jeans. Because there’s so much dye, anything it rubs up against could cause the dye to transfer into that object or fabric. You should see my computer chair right now. I read somewhere that you would have to wash the jeans like 15 times just to get the dye to stop transferring.

I was all WTF and freaking out. I love this bag and more imporantly, it was a gift and I’m not a big fan of getting rid of gifts from anyone. I even still have gifts from people from various occasions in my life that I don’t like. Now that I think about it, this has happened to a lot of other clothing of mine such as socks or whatever but a once I wash the item the dye is gone. However, I digress.

I took to the internet as any teenager would do and tried to Googled my way to an answer. My attempts failed unfortunately as most of the posts I saw said that there was nothing to be done and the best approach to deal with it is just to buy a new bag.

BUT I WAS NOT ABOUT TO GIVE UP SO EASILY!!!

I put a status on Facebook and Jing gave a new suggestions that wasn’t so crazy about, but he did say that I could try using warm water and hand soap to clean it (because hand soap is more gentle than other kinds of cleaner). I thought that would be a good idea. I wasn’t a big fan of using the hand soap but my six year old brother cleans his face everyday with this Johnson & Johnson baby wash. The bag isn’t leather, it’s a synthetic material so I wanted to be as gentle as possible without damaging the bag. If this has happened to a leather bag you might want to use something stronger.

There was so much dye on the bag and the baby soap was the only thing I tried that worked. Although I didn’t want to try much of anything else to avoid anything happening to it. The baby soap got most of it off. About 90% of the dye is gone and now you really have to look hard at the bag and pay attention to see where the dye was.

Throughout all of this, I think the biggest trageity in all of this is that there’s dye all over my baby penguin Niño!!! (Just for those of you who don’t know I love penguins) The poor baby was attached to my bag when all this happened. I haven’t been able to clean him completely because I keep forgetting but all his white parts are light blue!!! This is a picture of the little boy when he’s clean.

So I basically wrote this for all of you people who has had this happen to them and to show what I used. Just trying to help

I keep meaning on doing other blog posts but college finals are here and I’m adjusting to everything. Give me some time to get myself together. I’m not even updating RSC!

Today is my anniversary with my boyfriend! We have been together for a year now and it’s one of the best years of my life! And just look at this adorable bag! It’s my gift and I love it. I’ve been talking about the same bag from Aldo for a while now and it’s so sweet that he paid attention. it’s a taupe and it’s HUGE! I can carry my life in it.

The website has a better picture so you can see that here. The review for the bag actually says that the straps are too short and while that is true, it comes with a longer removable strap that can be adjust. I had to fold the strap over but trust me, it’s long enough to even use as a messenger bag.

I’m going to post an update about my gift to him separately because it’s so amazingly awesome and I’m so in love with this company.

This is what I wore. It’s basically skinny jeans, three inch heels, and a lace flow-y top over a purple tank top.

UPDATE!!! Here is just a couple pictures of the card my boyfriend made for me and gave me along with the bag. I hope they don’t look too bad.
