FOX and ABC vs. Ashley Graham
April 23rd, 2010 @ 5:28 pm

So I’ve been hearing a lot of stuff about this ad for Lane Bryant that FOX and ABC refuses to air. It features a woman named Ashley Graham who is a real woman, with real curves in lingerie. Here’s the ad:

So yeah, she looks like a lot of the other girls in a lot of other ads, half naked with a clean airbrushed “perfect” look. So then why was the ad banned? It’s not like she looks COMPLETELY naked or anything. FOX said some mess about there being too much cleavage on a news commercial I saw, but seriously? This is just a bunch of prejudice against people with an actual figure. I personally think that she looks just like all the other girls in all those other ads where everyone is half naked. The only difference is that she’s got a little more to offer.

In response to this, Graham stated that she felt the whole thing was “sad” and compared her ad to the ads from Victoria’s Secret.

I agree with her completely, you all just need to calm down because this is what real women look like.

All the info I got was from en.terra.com.

Quote of the Day: ‘The Victoria’s Secret girls can flaunt around their panties all day long. But when there’s a bigger woman with a little bit extra, they snipped it out immediately.’ -Ashley Graham
